Friends of Fantasy Day at Macdonald Book Shop

Join Macdonald Book Shop for Friends of Fantasy Day. This is the first annual event hosted by the American Booksellers Association for Indie Bookstores. Our event is free and for any age. Stop by and find a few fairies with our latest scavenger hunt, pick up your reading journal page for 2026, and talk with our staff about great fantasy/SCI-FI reads. For children who complete the scavenger hunt, we have a few giveaways (while supplies last). Our reading journal requires you to supply reviews of books you read in 2026 and when you return it, you will get 20% off that day.

For those who show up for the event, you will get 15% off your purchase during Friends of Fantasy Day.

We are also giving out Apple Cider during the event.
