EV Watershed Presents: From Myth to Reality: Wolves in Modern Ecosystems

May 10 @ 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
$20

More than any other animal, wolves are shrouded in myth and mystery. From a young age fairy tales like Little Red Riding Hood and The 3 Little Pigs shape our image of the wolf. In 1995 gray wolves were reintroduced to Yellowstone National Park and Idaho. Over the ensuing years, wolves proliferated yet failed to reestablish themselves in Colorado. All that changed in 2020 with the passage of a ballot measure requiring the reintroduction of the gray wolf to the state.

In this symposium we will hear from leading experts about wolf ecology and behavior, the ecology of the Estes Valley, how wolves may affect wildlife and domestic animals, and how we are meeting the challenge of the return of an apex predator, the gray wolf, to the Colorado landscape. The event will conclude with a panel discussion and audience Q&A.

Seating is limited!

This event is FREE to the public. A suggested donation of $20 per person will help us cover the costs of this event. Please donate what you can. We appreciate your support!
