One of our key roles as the destination marketing and management organization for Estes Park and the Estes Valley is to promote our community to potential travelers.
At the same time, we take just as much responsibility for supporting the qualities that make this a special place to live and work — not just visit.
As we continue to develop our Destination Stewardship Management Plan, we’re incorporating your feedback on how to steward our destination in a way that reflects community values alongside visitor needs.
Over the past several months, the Visit Estes Park team has built on earlier stakeholder and community engagement efforts to ensure we’re on the right track to finalize a plan that will guide us over the next five to ten years.
Most recently, we hosted a series of “mini focus groups” in conjunction with a Film Festival panel discussion, met with our Marketing Advisory Committee, and facilitated conversations with our board and staff during our annual retreat.
Here’s what we’ve heard from you:
- Support a year-round tourism economy that benefits local businesses, residents, and our workforce.
- Respect our natural landscapes and open spaces, with real outreach and education for visitors.
- Preserve the authentic character and sense of place that residents value and that keeps guests returning.
- Nurture investment in childcare, workforce development, and affordable housing through 6E funds as essential to Estes Park’s long-term vitality.
