Our recent Community Open House Tour on June 13 was a tremendous success, drawing visitors from throughout the Estes Valley and beyond. The event showcased some of the area’s finest homes and provided an excellent opportunity for buyers, sellers, and community members to explore the local real estate market.
An event of this magnitude does not happen without the dedication, generosity, and teamwork of many individuals. On behalf of the Estes Valley Board of REALTORS®, we extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who contributed their time, talents, and resources to make this event possible.
Among those whose efforts were instrumental to the event’s success were:
Lonnie Glessner, who coordinated media placement, secured publicity in local publications, distributed posters throughout the community, and donated a two-night stay at his vacation home as a raffle prize
Trenton Ming, who designed the advertisements and tour maps, and assisted with poster distribution.
Niki Gassmann, who managed the printing and sorting of event materials.
Stacy Ash of Aldrich Builders, who provided promotional spinners, offered her office as a distribution center for tour materials and supported the event in numerous ways.
Anna Weddle for serving on the planning committee and helping distribute flyers and promotional materials throughout the Estes Valley.
Scott Thompson, whose idea the tour was, for suggesting the raffle, designing and producing the raffle tickets, and donating a two-night vacation-home stay.
Javier and Maria Gomez for contributing an additional two-night vacation-home stay as a raffle prize.
Sarah Almond for handling countless behind-the-scenes details, including proofreading materials, distributing posters, running errands, checking on open houses, creating the event landing page, and coordinating supplies; and Re/Max Mountain Brokers for providing a central location for returning materials and conducting the raffle drawing.
We would also like to recognize the REALTORS® who showcased their listings on the tour. Participating REALTORS® included Mike Richardson, Mindy Stone, April Allen, Gerald Mayo, Maria and Javier Gomez, Elizabeth Lanning, Kendra Wallis, Alissa Anderson, Tom Thomas, Renee Hodgden, Liz Kozar, Trenton Ming, Scott Thompson, Alison Gilbert, Kirk Fisher and Bianca Bismark, Dewey Shanks, Chris Davis, Sam Basel, Carla Spreng-Webb, and Jeff and Julie Able. We also thank the REALTORS® and volunteers who assisted in holding properties open during the event.
By opening their listings to the public and welcoming visitors throughout the day, these REALTORS® helped create an engaging and informative experience for prospective buyers and community members alike.
At this point, what we know is one contract written on a listing on the tour from a visitor, and one exclusive right-to-buy agreement signed by a visitor. There are a couple of listing appointments we’ve heard about as well.
The Community Open House Tour demonstrated the spirit of cooperation that makes the Estes Valley real estate community so special. Whether donating prizes, designing materials, distributing flyers and posters, serving on the planning committee, hosting homes, or helping behind the scenes, each person played an important role in the event’s success.
We also thank Patti Brown, Estes Valley Voice; Kirby Nelson-Hazelton and Andrew Donaldson, Estes Park News; Sarah Leonard and Dana Paiement, Visit Estes Park; and Colleen DePasquale, Estes Chamber of Commerce for their articles and support of the open house.
Thank you all for your hard work, generosity, and commitment to making this year’s Community Open House Tour such a memorable and successful event.
The winners of the raffle were:
- Bridget Zastrow, Grand Junction, Colorado
- Steve Shank, a local resident and pastor in Boulder, Colorado
- Peggy Demming, Phoenix, Arizona
