A&E: This Weekend, June 26-28

If your ideal summer weekend includes live music, you’re in luck. Nearly every corner of Estes Park seems to have a stage this weekend, from rooftop concerts at Bogey’s and patio performances at Avant Garde Aleworks to a packed lineup at The Slab and multiple shows at The Rock Inn. Beyond the music, the calendar includes a classic car cruise-in, a youth theater production, an endurance race that could run through the night, and another chance to catch “Toy Story 5” on the big screen. Here’s what’s happening around Estes Park this weekend, June 26-28:

‘Toy Story 5’ remains at the Park Theatre

Buzz, Woody, Jesse, and the rest of the gang return in the fifth installment of Disney’s successful “Toy Story” franchise. This film focuses on how the toys react to the iPad era after their owner receives a frog-themed tablet. “Toy Story 5” is currently slated to play at the Park Theatre through Thursday, July 2. Furthermore, the Park Theatre offers haunted ghost tours and history tours on Friday, June 26, and Saturday, June 27, as well as a ghost hunt on Friday, June 26, and a free screening of “The Garfield Movie” at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 27. 

‘FACE of Fiber’ & ‘Journey Through Colors and Textures’

Experience a vibrant mix of fiber art and painting at the Art Center of Estes Park’s current exhibits, “FACE of Fiber” and “Journey Through Colors and Textures.” The exhibition combines the annual fiber arts showcase with work by Astrid Paustian, whose paintings and mixed-media pieces use oil, acrylic, and fiber. Known for her increasingly abstract approach to landscapes and sense of place, Paustian’s colorful works complement the texture-rich creations featured in the fiber exhibition. The show remains on view daily through Saturday, July 11.

A Weekend of Live Music at The Slab

The Slab Outdoor Pub packs its stage with live music all weekend long, beginning Friday, June 26, with Teague Starbuck performing from 1 to 5 p.m., followed by Open Mic Night from 6 to 10 p.m. The music continues Saturday, June 27, with Mark Gerganoff from noon to 4 p.m. and Wesley Scott and the Silver Dollars from 6 to 9 p.m. The weekend wraps up Sunday, June 28, when Joe Sanford takes the stage from 1 to 5 p.m.

Joseph Lingenfelter at the Rockslide Patio Bar

Enjoy live music on the banks of Fall River as Joseph Lingenfelter performs at the Rockslide Patio Bar at the Inn on Fall River on Friday, June 26, and Saturday, June 27, from 5 to 9 p.m. If you can’t make it this weekend, don’t worry. Lingenfelter will be performing at Rockslide every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from now until September.

Friday Live Music at Snowy Peaks Winery

Neilson & Nicholson performs live in the tasting room at Snowy Peaks Winery on Friday, June 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. The show is free to attend, but seats in the tasting room fill up quickly, so reservations are advised. Call 970-586-2099 to reserve your table.

Jon Pickett at The Rock Inn

Spend Friday evening with local singer-songwriter Jon Pickett at The Rock Inn Mountain Tavern on June 26 from 5 to 8 p.m. Best known as the bassist and vocalist for Colorado bluegrass band Chain Station, Pickett brings a mix of soulful originals, thoughtful songwriting, and inventive covers to his solo performances. His eclectic musical style and easy stage presence make for a relaxed evening of live music in one of Estes Park’s favorite listening rooms. Admission is free.

John Hodges on the Rooftop

Ease into the weekend with live acoustic rock and blues from John Hodges at Bogey’s Sports Bar on Friday, June 26, from 7 to 9 p.m. Performing on the rooftop stage, Hodges brings a laid-back mix of familiar favorites and soulful guitar-driven tunes to one of downtown Estes Park’s best summer hangouts.

Karaoke Night at Lonigans

Take the stage at Lonigans (106 W. Elkhorn Ave.) for its free karaoke night, happening every Friday and Saturday from 9 p.m. to midnight. It’s the perfect late-night outing for those looking to get their sing on.

Cool Nights Cruz-In

Classic cars, custom builds, and community pride take center stage during the Estes Park Car Club’s Cool Nights Cruz-In on Saturday, June 27, from 3 to 6 p.m. at American Legion Post 119. The monthly gathering welcomes vehicles of all makes, models, and years, with attendees voting for their favorite club and visitor entries. Car owners can enter for $5, while spectators are free. Trophies will be awarded to the winning vehicles, and the fun continues after the show with live music by The Fox Creek Ramblers from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Avant Garde Summer Concert Series

The Summer Concert Series continues at Avant Garde Aleworks with a full weekend of free live music on the patio. Aaron LaCombe performs Saturday, June 27, from 4 to 6 p.m., followed by Kae & the Fault Line on Sunday, June 28, from 5 to 7 p.m. Pair the music with a craft beer, grab a bite from one of the rotating food trucks, and enjoy a relaxed afternoon in one of Estes Park’s favorite outdoor gathering spots.

Estes Park’s Backyard Ultra

How far can you go? Find out at Estes Park’s Backyard Ultra on Saturday, June 27, beginning at 4 p.m. at Stanley Park’s Bluebird Pavilion. The unique endurance race challenges runners to complete a 4.252-mile loop around Lake Estes every hour, on the hour, until only one competitor remains. New for 2026, the race shifts to an afternoon start, giving participants a chance to escape the midday heat and test their legs through the night. There is no set finish time, no set distance, and only one official finisher, making this one of the most demanding and intriguing races on the local running calendar.

Random and True at The Rock Inn

Colorado band Random and True performs at The Rock Inn Mountain Tavern on Saturday, June 27, from 5 to 8 p.m. The duo of Geoff Clark and Steve Tice draws from an eclectic songbook that spans decades and genres, moving effortlessly from Louis Armstrong and Frank Sinatra to the Grateful Dead, Elton John, Tyler Childers, and beyond. Blending upright bass, acoustic guitar, and polished harmonies, Random and True delivers the perfect soundtrack for a relaxed summer evening in Estes Park.

10 Year Echo on the Rooftop

On Saturday evening, June 27, from 6 to 8 p.m., 10 Year Echo will perform live music at Bogey’s Sports Bar. The band takes over the rooftop stage for a performance paired with mountain views, cold drinks, and a lively downtown atmosphere.

‘Once Upon a Mattress’ Youth Edition

The Fine Arts Guild of the Rockies presents “Once Upon a Mattress” Youth Edition on Saturday, June 27, at 7 p.m. at Estes Park High School. Featuring a cast of more than 20 local students in grades 2 through 5, the family-friendly musical offers a playful retelling of the classic fairy tale “The Princess and the Pea.” Tickets are $12 in advance or at the door with cash or check, and children 5 and younger are admitted free.

Greg Miles and Friends at Bogey’s

Head to Bogey’s Sports Bar on June 28 to catch Greg Miles and Friends on the rooftop from 3 to 5 p.m. Known for his sharp wit, eclectic musical tastes, and genre-hopping setlists, Miles brings a mix of originals and unexpected favorites to every performance. Joined by fellow musicians, he’ll provide the soundtrack for an afternoon of mountain views, cold drinks, and summer sunshine in downtown Estes Park.

David Tiller at The Rock Inn

Acclaimed Colorado songwriter and multi-instrumentalist David Tiller returns to The Rock Inn Mountain Tavern on Sunday, June 28, from 5 to 8 p.m. A founding member of Taarka and ThaMuseMeant and a longtime collaborator with Elephant Revival, High Lonesome, and Bonnie Paine, Tiller has spent decades shaping Colorado’s folk and bluegrass scene. His solo performances blend masterful musicianship, thoughtful storytelling, and songs drawn from a career that spans bands, film soundtracks, and hundreds of compositions. Admission is free.

Sunday Dinner Live Music at Lonigans

Wrap up the weekend with good food, craft cocktails, and live tunes at Lonigans (106 W. Elkhorn Ave.). Every Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m., the pub hosts free live music in a family-friendly setting.
