Juneteenth office closures
Juneteenth is a federal holiday commemorating the emancipation of enslaved African Americans. It is observed on June 19, the date in 1865 when Union troops arrived in Galveston, Texas, to announce the end of slavery, more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation. Town, County, State, and Federal business offices will be closed; critical services will not be disrupted.
Community conversations on housing and childcare set for June 22
Community members are invited to participate in two public conversations on June 22 about housing and childcare priorities in Estes Park.
The meetings will be held at the Estes Park Museum and will focus on the community’s annual Housing and Childcare Plan. A session from noon to 1 p.m. will provide an overview for key partners, program administrators, and service providers.
A second session, from 6 to 7:30 p.m., is open to the public and will include a presentation on key objectives and activities to expand workforce housing and increase childcare capacity.
Partners, program administrators, and service providers are encouraged to attend the noon meeting, and residents are encouraged to attend the evening meeting to learn about current initiatives and help shape future housing and childcare solutions for the Estes Valley.

EPHA seeks applicants for board vacancies
The Town of Estes Park is accepting applications for three volunteer positions on the Estes Park Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. The appointments will fill terms expiring April 30, 2027, April 30, 2028, and April 30, 2029.
