Happy Juneteenth and an early Father’s Day to all of the dads out there. If you’re looking to get up to some fun in Estes Park, you’re in luck. This weekend brings everything from races around Lake Estes and live music on patios to a major fundraiser, Father’s Day celebrations, and the return of Pixar’s favorite toys to the big screen. Here’s what’s happening around Estes Park this weekend, June 19-21:
‘Toy Story 5’ debuts at the Park Theatre
Buzz, Woody, Jesse, and the rest of the gang are back in the fifth installment of Disney’s popular “Toy Story” series. This film focuses on how the toys react to the iPad era after their owner receives a frog-themed tablet called Lilypad, AKA Lily. “Toy Story 5” is currently slated to play at the Park Theatre through Thursday, July 2. In addition, the Park Theatre will host haunted history tours on Friday, June 19, and Saturday, June 20, as well as a history tour on Friday, June 19, and a free screening of “The Angry Birds Movie” on Saturday, June 20.
‘FACE of Fiber’ & ‘Journey Through Colors and Textures’
Experience a vibrant mix of fiber art and painting at the Art Center of Estes Park’s current exhibits, “FACE of Fiber” and “Journey Through Colors and Textures.” The exhibition combines the annual fiber arts showcase with work by Astrid Paustian, whose paintings and mixed-media pieces use oil, acrylic, and fiber. Known for her increasingly abstract approach to landscapes and sense of place, Paustian’s colorful works complement the texture-rich creations featured in the fiber exhibition. The show remains on view daily through Saturday, July 11.
Joseph Lingenfelter at the Rockslide Patio Bar
Enjoy an evening of live music beside Fall River when Joseph Lingenfelter performs at the Rockslide Patio Bar at the Inn on Fall River on Friday, June 19, and Saturday, June 20, from 5 to 9 p.m. Open to the public, the outdoor venue pairs live music with mountain views, drink specials, and a selection of local craft beers on tap. If you can’t make it this weekend, don’t worry. Lingenfelter will be performing at Rockslide every Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from now until September.
Friday Live Music at Snowy Peaks Winery
Tequila Mockin’Byrd performs live in the tasting room at Snowy Peaks Winery on Friday, June 19, from 5 to 7 p.m. The show is free to attend, but seats in the tasting room fill up quickly, so reservations are advised. Call 970-586-2099 to reserve your table.
Jon Pickett at The Rock Inn
Spend Friday evening with local singer-songwriter Jon Pickett at The Rock Inn Mountain Tavern on June 19 from 5 to 8 p.m. Best known as the bassist and vocalist for Colorado bluegrass band Chain Station, Pickett brings a mix of soulful originals, thoughtful songwriting, and inventive covers to his solo performances. His eclectic musical style and easy stage presence make for a relaxed evening of live music in one of Estes Park’s favorite listening rooms. Admission is free.
Poker Tournament at American Legion Post 119
Jean Tasker, a 2026 candidate for Mrs. Rooftop Rodeo, is helping to organize a poker tournament on Friday, June 19, at the American Legion Post 119. The event is raising funds for second-level cancer screening. Registration for the event is at 5:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. $25 is the suggested donation.
The Coldies on the Rooftop
Get high with The Coldies on the rooftop of Bogey’s Sports Bar on Friday, June 19, from 7 to 9 p.m. Expect the Colorado band to perform an inspired mix of driving blues, gritty rock and roll, outlaw country, and killer B-side pop hits.
Karaoke Night at Lonigans
Take the stage at Lonigans (106 W. Elkhorn Ave.) for its free karaoke night, happening every Friday and Saturday from 9 p.m. to midnight. It’s the perfect late-night outing for those looking to get their sing on.
Longs Peak 5 Miler
Lace up your running shoes for the Longs Peak 5 Miler on Saturday, June 20, beginning at 8 a.m. around Lake Estes. Organized by the Estes Park Running Club, the race follows a scenic five-mile course before finishing on the Estes Park High School track. Participants receive a race shirt and finisher medal, with awards presented across multiple age divisions. The fun continues after the race with family-friendly activities, including games, face painting, arts and crafts, a bike obstacle course, and kids’ fun runs. Register here.
Estes Park Volksmarch
Explore Estes Park on foot during the Estes Park Volksmarch on Saturday, June 20, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hosted by the Falcon Wanderers, this self-guided community walk begins and ends at the Estes Park Visitor Center and offers participants a choice of two routes: a 5K or 10K trek. The scenic course loops around Lake Estes, climbs toward The Stanley Hotel, winds through downtown, and returns to the starting point. Participation is free for noncredit walkers or $3 for those seeking official Volksmarch credit.
Cars and Coffee
Car enthusiasts can gather for another installment of Estes Valley Cars and Coffee on Saturday, June 20, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Estes Valley Community Center. Hosted by the Estes Park Car Club, the free event welcomes all makes, models, and styles of vehicles, from vintage classics and muscle cars to motorcycles, custom builds, and everyday drivers.
Boot Scootin’ Bash
Pull on your boots and head to the Estes Park Events Complex for the Boot Scootin’ Bash on Saturday, June 20, from 3 to 9 p.m. This family-friendly fundraiser for the Estes Park Health Foundation combines an afternoon of Western-themed fun with an evening of live music. Activities include face painting, crafts, stick pony races, a petting zoo, mechanical bull riding, a line dance competition, and a performance by Brad Fitch. The day culminates with a concert featuring Colorado favorites The Rifters and headliner Mark Powell. Get tickets here.
David Tiller at The Rock Inn
Acclaimed Colorado songwriter and multi-instrumentalist David Tiller returns to The Rock Inn Mountain Tavern on Saturday, June 20, from 5 to 8 p.m. A founding member of Taarka and ThaMuseMeant and a longtime collaborator with Elephant Revival, High Lonesome, and Bonnie Paine, Tiller has spent decades helping shape Colorado’s folk and bluegrass scene. Now performing material from his solo career, he brings thoughtful songwriting, masterful musicianship, and plenty of stories to this intimate free show.
The Coldies at American Legion Post 119
The Coldies bring their energetic blend of blues, rock ’n’ roll, outlaw country and deep-cut favorites to American Legion Post 119 on Saturday, June 20, from 6 to 9 p.m. Known for lively performances and crowd-pleasing song selections, the local band delivers the kind of soundtrack that keeps toes tapping and dance floors busy. Best known as the voice behind chart-topping classics such as “We Built This City,” “Sara,” and “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now,” Thomas remains one of rock’s most recognizable vocalists.
