For more than 40 years, the Estes Park Art Market has celebrated the start of the summer season by bringing artists and art lovers together in the heart of downtown Estes.
This weekend, the tradition continues as the Fine Arts Guild of the Rockies hosts the annual event in Bond Park, featuring artists from Colorado and neighboring states displaying a wide range of fine arts and crafts.
The outdoor market will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Monday.
Visual artists have long been a defining part of Estes Park’s cultural identity, and the Fine Arts Guild of the Rockies has worked to support painters, photographers, fiber artists, sculptors, jewelers, and other creatives by providing opportunities to showcase their work with the public.
The juried art and craft show was originally organized by the Art Center of Estes Park, which then handed production to the Fine Arts Guild in 2023.
More than 90 artists are expected to participate this year, offering works in functional pottery, painting, sculpture, photography, jewelry, art glass, woodworking, fiber art, metal crafts, and mixed media.
Live music and food vendors will be available throughout the weekend. Vibhaus Kendzia, a Wisconsin-based multi-instrumentalist, will perform during the event using Native American-inspired flutes.
Two daily silent auctions will feature artwork and donated items from participating artists. Proceeds from the auctions support youth arts programming, scholarships for Estes Park High School seniors pursuing studies in art or music, and scholarships for participants in the Youth Theater summer camp program.
The art market is wheelchair accessible and free to the public.
