Thank you, Estes Park
In September 2024, a small group of Estes residents met to discuss the possibility of establishing a dementia day center in our community. This week, the Estes Dementia Day Center opened its doors at St. Bart’s Church and welcomed the first “Guests” to spend time at the Center.
We would like to say thank you to all who contributed to the success of this mission including:
- The many, many individuals making a financial contribution
- The Noon Rotary Club Foundation
- The Newendorp Family Foundation
- St. Bart’s Church Outreach Committee
- The parishioners of Shepherd of the Mountains Lutheran Church
- The Village Thrift Shop
- The Estes Park Health Foundation
- The Town of Estes Park
Highlights to date include:
- Recruiting Debbie Unruh, the Executive Director
- Recruiting Basia Buczkiewicz, the Program Manager
- Outfitting and decorating the lower level of St. Bart’s
- Recruiting and training 40 volunteers
- Setting up a fund to assist families in need of financial help
- Partnering with Crossroads to provide lunch through “Meals on Wheels”
We are looking forward to assisting families impacted by dementia. If you would like further information, please contact Debbie Unruh at 970-447-3550 or debbie@estesdementiadaycenter.org
Thank You.
