Cliffhanger Used Books marks anniversary through April 8

Cliffhanger Used Books is celebrating its anniversary now through April 8. The bookstore has a weekly Wacky Wednesday special featuring several categories of books for sale for only $1. During the anniversary week, the special is extended to different categories every day, and there are some category specials that are 2 for $1 plus daily drawings with a grand prize drawing at the end of the week-long event. Cliffhanger Used Books, located at 191 Riverside Dr. next to the Post Office, is open seven days a week, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Garden Club to meet April 13

The Estes Park Garden Club will kick off the 2026 gardening season on Monday, April 13, from 10:30 to noon in the Hondius Room at the Estes Valley Library with a presentation by Merle M. Moore, the former director of the Denver Botanic Gardens and longtime garden club member, titled “Estes Park Gardener’s Favorite Plants. The program will highlight five plants from each of five local and cover altitude, fencing, light conditions, watering schedule during the growing season.

The Haven — Estes Dementia Day Center – to open in May

The Haven, Estes Park’s new dementia day center, will open in May. The organization is looking for half-day/week volunteers to help and participants with early to mid-stage dementia and a cleaner for one hour on Mondays through Thursdays at 5:00 p.m. or later.
