The Town of Estes Park has opened the application period for its Vacation Home License Waitlist Lottery, giving property owners an opportunity to be placed on a waitlist for future vacation home licenses as they become available.

To apply, an applicant must be a natural person or persons, not a corporation or trust, who owns a residentially zoned property within the Estes Park town limits. Only the individual property owner or owners listed on the deed may apply.

The town allows only one application per dwelling unit. If more than one entry is submitted for the same property, all applications associated with that unit will be disqualified.

To be included in the lottery, applicants must submit a completed application form, a $50 application fee, and documentation verifying ownership by the natural person or persons listed on the application.

If an application is missing required information or documentation, the applicant will be notified by email and given five days to correct the issue. Applications that are not completed within that time will be voided and removed from consideration.

Vacation home business licenses issued through the waitlist lottery are non-transferable, in accordance with current Town of Estes Park regulations.

Application forms and additional details about the waitlist lottery process are available on the Town of Estes Park website.
