Friday the 13th Walk-In Tattoo Event at Driftwood
Lean into the spooky spirit of Friday the 13th with a special walk-in tattoo event at Driftwood Tattoo Studio. Artists will offer a selection of exclusive flash designs featuring mythical creatures, circus animals and mountain-inspired imagery in both traditional and illustrative styles. Small, ready-to-tattoo pieces will be available on a first-come, first-served basis, with prices ranging from $100 to $200 and a 13% discount on flash designs. The event runs both Friday and Saturday, giving tattoo fans two chances to snag a limited-edition design.
Get Poked: Beer Poking & Tattoo Pop-Up
From noon to 7 p.m., Avant Garde Aleworks will celebrate Friday the 13th with a playful mashup of craft beer and body art. The brewery is teaming up with Space Coyote Tattoo for a pop-up featuring first-come, first-served flash tattoos alongside demonstrations of beer poking, a traditional German technique in which a heated metal rod caramelizes the sugars in a glass of beer to create a rich, frothy pour. Publisher Thaine Norris says sharing the books in a shop bearing MacDonald’s name, surrounded by mountain scenery reminiscent of the stories’ setting, makes the event feel like “a homecoming for Princess Irene and Curdie.”

Kick off your weekend with a set from guitarist Jason Hicks at The Rock Inn Mountain Tavern.
