Hello, Estes Park! As January turns into February, the upcoming weekend promises a plethora of arts and entertainment events. From intimate winery sets and bookstore gatherings to arena-level concerts, hands-on cultural programs, and a stout-filled excuse to linger a little longer at the taproom, there’s no shortage of ways to get out of the house and into something interesting. Here’s a look at what’s happening around Estes Park from Friday, Jan. 30 through Sunday, Feb. 1.

Ease into the weekend with live music at Snowy Peaks Winery on Friday, Jan. 30, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Local musician Jason Lenz brings a relaxed, crowd-friendly set to the Tasting Room, pairing perfectly with a glass of wine and Snowy Peaks’ cozy winter atmosphere. The show is free to attend, but space is limited, so call 970-586-2099 to reserve a table.

Book lovers and movie fans alike are invited to a special Books to Movies night at Macdonald Book Shop on Friday, Jan. 30, from 5 to 6 p.m. This free, first-time event explores the page-to-screen journey of “The People We Meet on Vacation,” with a short group discussion comparing the beloved novel and its film adaptation, followed by a few interactive activities. It’s a relaxed, community-minded way to talk about books, movies, and storytelling.

Kick off your weekend with an anything-goes acoustic set from Jon Pickett at The Rock Inn Mountain Tavern. Performing regularly on Fridays from 5 to 8 p.m., Pickett brings the energy of a full band to the stage as a solo, one-man-band performer. A former metal guitarist turned mountain multi-instrumentalist, his set blends folk, bluegrass, jazz, Motown, hip-hop, and plenty of playful surprises. Expect soulful originals, clever covers, and genre-hopping detours that might jump from Paul Simon to Black Sabbath without warning. Free to attend and always a crowd-pleaser, it’s a laid-back way to spend an evening with great music and mountain-tavern vibes.

Add an elegant soundtrack to your evening at Twin Owls Steakhouse with live classical and Spanish guitar by James Davis. Performing Fridays and Saturdays from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., Davis brings a refined, atmospheric style that pairs seamlessly with Twin Owls’ fine dining experience. Live music is offered for dining guests only, so reservations are recommended.

Enjoy a relaxed Friday evening with live music from Marshall at American Legion Post 119 on Friday, Jan. 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. Marshall brings an easygoing, crowd-friendly set that’s perfect for winding down the week. The Tavern will be serving its full food menu and bar selections from 3 to 8 p.m., and the event is free, family-friendly, and open to the public.

Alt-rock staples and mountain-town atmosphere collide when Everclear brings its hit-packed live show to the historic Stanley Hotel on Friday, Jan. 30, and Saturday, Jan. 31, from 7 to 10 p.m. Set inside one of Colorado’s most iconic landmarks, this intimate concert offers a rare chance to hear fan favorites and ’90s radio classics in a setting that feels worlds away from a typical arena show. Tickets are $85.

Take the stage at Lonigans (106 W. Elkhorn Ave.) for Karaoke Night, happening every Friday and Saturday from 9 p.m. to midnight. It’s free to join, making it the perfect late-night outing with friends, family, and plenty of sing-along fun.

Take a mini getaway without leaving town during Travel Series: Italy/Carnival at the Estes Valley Community Center on Saturday, Jan. 31, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. This engaging program blends armchair travel with hands-on creativity, featuring a slideshow of Becky’s adventures through Italy alongside a festive mask-making activity inspired by Carnival traditions. For $20, participants can explore Italian culture, enjoy vivid travel stories, and craft their own mask.

Step into a world of magic, monsters, and imagination during Friends of Fantasy Day at Macdonald Book Shop on Saturday, Jan. 31, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Part of a first-ever national celebration for indie bookstores, this all-ages event invites fantasy and sci-fi fans to explore the shop through a whimsical fairy scavenger hunt, snag a 2026 reading journal page, drink free apple cider, and swap recommendations with the staff. Kids who complete the hunt can score small giveaways while supplies last, and everyone who attends receives 15% off their purchase for the day. Return your completed reading journal later in the year and you’ll earn 20% off that visit, too.

Expect the unexpected when Greg Miles brings his acoustic set to The Rock Inn Mountain Tavern on Saturday, Jan. 31, from 5 to 8 p.m. A longtime Estes Park visual artist and singer-songwriter, Miles delivers performances that lean proudly unorthodox, mixing sharp-witted originals with an ever-shifting lineup of covers that can jump from John Prine to Nat King Cole. His shows are equal parts music and mischief, shaped by the crowd’s mood (and tolerance for sarcasm). It’s a free, laid-back evening of live music best enjoyed with a drink in hand and an open mind.

Running all month long, Stout Month at Avant Garde Aleworks features five limited-run Imperial Stouts, with a fresh release pouring every Saturday and cans available to go while supplies last. The 2026 lineup ranges from a classic OG Imperial Stout to playful, dessert-inspired brews like Peanut Butter Cocoa, Waffle Cone (made with cones from Estes Park’s Danish Cone), and Toasted Coconut, plus a locally fueled Kind Coffee Imperial Stout. With special events sprinkled throughout the month and these high-octane beers known to disappear fast, Stout Month is a choose-your-own-adventure for winter beer lovers.

Make your Sunday nights a little more competitive and a lot more social at Rock Cut Bingo at Rock Cut Brewing Company. Held on the first and third Sundays of the month from 6 to 8 p.m., this free community favorite mixes classic bingo with cold beer, easygoing vibes, and prizes up for grabs every round. Bring a few friends, grab a pint, and settle in for a laid-back evening where the stakes are low, the laughs are plenty, and shouting “Bingo!” is very much encouraged.

Wrap up the weekend with good food, craft cocktails, and live tunes at Lonigans (106 W. Elkhorn Ave.). Every Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m., the pub hosts free live music in a family-friendly setting.

Discover fresh perspectives and new creative voices at “Meet the New Artists,” the Art Center of Estes Park’s annual exhibition spotlighting members who joined the gallery in the past year. On view through February 9, the show features a diverse range of media and styles, from Janine Belletire’s soft, expressive pastels and Chris Crews’ photography to oil paintings by Kay Keyes Farrar, prints and etchings by Stephen Goddard, and handcrafted artisan jewelry by Mark Nelson. The exhibit is free to visit during regular gallery hours (Fridays through Monday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.) at the Art Center of Estes Park.
