Superintendent Ruby Bode of Estes Park School District announced today that she will be leaving at the end of the 2025-2026 school year. She has been with the EPSD since 2005.
“I have had the incredible privilege of serving this community as a teacher, coach, principal, director, and superintendent. I have spent nearly my entire career growing alongside your children, your families, and this remarkable mountain community, “ Bode wrote in an email.
She said her decision was “rooted in personal circumstances that require me to prioritize my family while remaining fully committed to serving the district through the end of this school year. I share this with great care, as my love for Estes Park School District and this community runs deep.”
Bode did not provide details of the personal circumstances but praised the EPDD for being extraordinary, citing the “people who make it so: our students, families, staff, and community members.”
“Leaving Estes Park is incredibly difficult. I have been supported, cared for, and embraced by this community in ways I will be forever grateful. You trusted me with your children, partnered with our schools, and allowed me the grace to learn, grow, and lead with authenticity. I am a better educator and a better person because of this community.”
The next meeting of the Estes Park School District Board of Education will be Jan. 25 at 5:15 p.m. in the boardroom at Town Hall.
