With today’s snowfall, it seems timely for the Estes Valley Voice to roll out our second annual Pixel-the-Snowman contest.
Pixel is a snowman who lives inside a magical snow globe. Pixel is named in honor of how the Estes Valley Voice is published — we publish in digital pixels, not in ink on paper.
Take the Estes Valley Voice Favorite Snowman Survey to tell us who your favorite snowman is and be entered in a New Year’s Eve drawing to win Pixel. And this year, we have two Pixel- the-Snowman snow globes to send home with readers.
Pixel has joined in the fun of the Town’s Snowman Scavenger Hunt, a fun winter celebration in a mountain village that sparkles and twinkles this time of year with snowflakes, holiday lights, and majestic views of the Rocky Mountains.
It may be cold outside, but Pixel says there are so many opportunities in Estes to make memories that will warm your heart and make you smile, from enjoying the dazzling tree in Bond Park, to the ribbon cutting at 2:30 on Cleave Street Saturday to inaugurate the Town’s designation as a Cultural Arts District and celebrate the unfolding of the Whimsadoodle Foundation.
There is the upcoming Sleigh the Games festival, Dec. 12-14, and dozens upon dozens of gift and specialty shops to do your holiday shopping. There are restaurants and festive watering holes. And did we mention candy? Whether you need a box of taffy or you want to make a chocolate candy bar, Estes can satisfy your sweet tooth.
And that’s just the first half of December. Come “Catch the Glow” in Estes Park, discover some magic and holiday wonders, and create memories with family and friends.
