Over the mountains and through the pines,
To Estes Park we go!
Where visitors stream to our Valley so bright,
All dekced with holiday glow.
The elk in the meadows roam with pride,
Unbothered by all our fuss,
Friends and families gather ’round—
Thanksgiving time is here.

Over Big Tom and through the streets,
Downtown is dressed up right;
With garlands hung and windows warm,
Past candy shops and gallery stores
All sparkling day and night.
The town is trimmed with holiday cheer
As guests arrive for turkey fare—
A feast prepared for us.

Down to the village we take a ride,
The winter magic resides—
Where Porter’s vintage dioramas glow
With old-time Christmas pride.
On a classic American main street
White lights in every tree—
The town sparkles soft in winter’s hush,
A perfect place to be.

Up from the Front Range they’ll all come,
The Friday crowds will sway,
To see the floats and glowing lights
Down Elkhorn in the Catch the Glow parade.
The music rings, the dancers twirl,
The fire trucks shine like new,
While children wave with mittened hands
As the magic starts to brew.

Over the river and into the night,
The grand finale’s planned—
A jolly laugh, a booming cheer:
It’s Santa! Yes, he’s here!
He rolls on in with twinkling eyes,
A promise bright and sweet,
That holiday joy is on its way
To every one we meet.

Over the river toward Bond Park,
A final stop we make:
A towering pine leaps to life—
A dazzling light display.
Hundreds and thousands of bright LEDs
Pulse high above the crowd,
Shimmering to holiday tunes
That play both soft and loud.

Oh, Estes Park at Thanksgiving time—
A wonderland so dear!
Where mountains hold the winter sky
And joy returns each year.
Over the river and through the pines,
The season’s song we’ll say:
Grateful hearts and glowing lights
As we celebrate the “holidaze.”
