Vote yes in support of Preserve Estes Park
Vote yes in support of Preserve Estes Park and vote yes to preserve your say in uncontrolled development of your neighboring properties. Don’t count on our town trustees, housing authority, planning board, paid consultants, realtors, merchants, and developers to decide what is best for you. Unfortunately, none of these people are looking after your interests. And, sadly, many of our local leaders do not understand the concept of representative government. You deserve to have input. Take the initiative and vote yes!

Citizens’ Initiatives 300 and 301
I am in favor of Citizens’ Initiatives 300 and 301. These measures will help protect our neighborhoods from development that would drastically change their character. We look at an open space and see the beauty of nature; developers look at an open space and see potential profits. Let’s give citizens a voice in rezoning and development in their neighborhoods by adopting Citizens’ Initiatives 300 and 301
Terry Rustin, Estes Park

I concur with Mr Rustin – Please note…if you don’t want willy-nilly changes to Zoning in your neighborhood…VOTE YES to both 300 & 301. Arbitrary and Discretionary changes in zoning, serving the will of Developers and Realtors (who stand to make a lot of $$$) can destroy even well-established neighborhoods. Change may be a good thing, but not in my backyard. There are a lot of other places that can be developed but NOT by subrogating the will of the citizens as established in the current zoning of residential neighborhoods. I trust the property owners to make development decisions far more than City Hall denizens.
