Power Outage Preparedness
Estes Park’s Power and Communications staff will host a one-hour presentation on Tuesday, Oct. 21, at 6:30 p.m. in the Hondius Room at the Estes Valley Library on how to prepare for a power outage. Sudden power outages and disasters can occur without warning. While Estes Power and Communications responds immediately to power outages, they can be frustrating and troublesome for customers, especially if they last for an extended period.

Larimer County Hazard Mitigation Planning Public Input Survey
Larimer County is updating its Hazard Mitigation Plan in cooperation with the incorporated cities, towns, districts, and partner organizations in the County.
The Hazard Mitigation Plan analyzes the County’s vulnerabilities to natural and human-caused hazards and identifies ways to mitigate the impacts of disasters, including minimizing property damage and reducing loss of life. The Plan is updated every five years in accordance with the federal Disaster Mitigation Act of 2000.
This survey seeks input from the public and stakeholders to understand the risks within the County better and solicits their feedback on how to mitigate or reduce the impacts of hazards before they occur. Click here to provide your feedback
Town wants feedback on special events
Sunday is the final day to provide feedback on special events in the Estes Valley.
The survey includes questions about what events are of interest and the number of events held in the town. Do you have thoughts about special events in the Estes Valley?
The Town of Estes Park aims to utilize feedback from the questionnaire to establish a guiding philosophy as the basis for future event-related decisions.
The survey is available online and will be open through Sunday, Oct. 19.
