Town seeks feedback on special events in the Estes Valley
The Town of Estes Park seeks residents’ input on their experiences with several specific events, as well as opinions on the spectrum of events offered in Estes Park each year.
The survey takes about five minutes to answer and will help the Town develop a guiding philosophy to serve as the foundation for future event-related decisions. The survey will be open through Sunday, Oct. 19. For more information, please contact Suzanna Simpson or call 970-577-3700.
Let’s talk about housing
The Community Conversations team, a partnership between the Estes Valley Restorative Justice Partnership and the Estes Valley Library, will facilitate two discussions, one on Oct. 9 and one on Oct. 15, about updating the Town’s Development Code, which regulates land use, zoning, development, and design within Town limits.
Dinner will be provided at 5:30 p.m. with the Community Conversation taking place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Estes Park High School Commons, 1600 Manford Ave. Childcare and Spanish language interpretation will also be available. Participants will receive a $10 gift card to Safeway, limited to one per family. Registration is required (select one date only, please): https://bit.ly/3IwRuYD
Town shuttle service shifts to fall hours
Weekend-only shuttle services for routes outside the downtown began Wednesday, Oct. 1, and will continue through Friday, Oct. 19. Daily and weekend downtown service via the red trolley will operate through Oct. 19. The service offered by the Town of Estes Park runs from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
Service through the outlying areas was expanded this year through September as part of a pilot program. A grant for the extended operations was funded, in part, by a federal “Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality” grant based on recommendations in the Estes Park Multimodal Transportation Plan and the Estes Park Transit Development Plan.
