Opening on Estes Park Board of Adjustment

Applications are being accepted for a volunteer position on the Estes Park Park Board of Adjustment. Board members consider and grant variances to zoning regulations and also hear and decide appeals from property owners on administrative decisions and interpretations made by Town staff on zoning-related matters.

The Board is scheduled to meet on the first Tuesday of the month at 9 a.m. However, the Board only meets as needed, and typically meets about six to eight times a year, with the typical meeting lasting about 30-40 minutes.

While the time commitment is relatively low compared to other volunteer opportunities, the Board has a significant impact on development activities within the Town and helps ensure zoning regulations are fairly applied.

The planning process will continue through the fall and winter, with a final rendition anticipated in the summer of 2026.
