The community is invited to provide feedback on the 2026 Annual Funding Plan for the use of 6E Lodging Tax extension revenue, which is dedicated by law to workforce housing and childcare initiatives.

The Town will host two sessions, one in person and one online, to share information and gather feedback. All Estes Valley stakeholders, including parents, childcare providers, employers, housing advocates, developers, and nonprofit organizations, are encouraged to participate in the discussion.

One meeting will be held at the Estes Park Museum from noon to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 5. The second, an online format, will take place at 6 p.m., also on Aug. 5.

Please click here to RSVP for either the mid-day session or to register for the evening forum, and click here to share your opinions on the online survey.

Online responses are due by the end of the workday on Tuesday, Aug. 5.

In all cases, those responding are asked to review the 2025 Funding Plan in preparation for providing feedback.

Residents can picnic with Estes Park Police and Larimer County Sheriff’s officers during their National Night Out on Tuesday, Aug. 5, at the Osprey Shelter at Stanley Park.

Officers will grill hot dogs and burgers – free for anyone who stops by – from 6 to 8 p.m. The event is planned as an opportunity for community members to meet staff and officers from local law enforcement agencies and coincides with National Night Out activities throughout the country.

“The goals of National Night Out are simple but important—building awareness around crime and drug prevention, getting people involved in local anti-crime efforts, strengthening neighborhood connections, and growing strong relationships between the community and law enforcement,” said Estes Park Police Chief Ian Stewart. “We’re excited to team up with the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office to bring this event back to the Estes Valley.”

Four more teams can join the Estes Chamber of Commerce’s annual fundraising golf tournament, which will tee off at 8 a.m. on Aug. 8.

This year’s event includes contests for the less-than-stellar player participants with snappy names like “Tanya Harding Penalty” and “Nancy’s Revenge,” designed for laughs and fun competition.

Register online or contact Colleen DePasquale, director@esteschamber.org for more information.
