The Estes Valley Library hosted its third annual foam party in Stanley Park this morning. Dozens of children frolicked in delight as billowy snow-white foam spewed from a canon.

There was a bit more wind this year than last, but Ann Lincoln of Ann Lincoln Entertainment in Denver, who operates the foam canons, was able to get the magical mousse-like substance to fall into two-foot piles that children danced and waded into. Bubbles also blew through the air.

For some participants this was a first experience. Some children needed some coaxing from their parents to touch and wade into the eco-friendly lather created with air, water, glycerin and a biodegradable, non-toxic and hypoallergenic foaming agent. Other kids were veterans who came equipped with goggles and rubber shoes and a devil-may-care attitude of “bring it on.”

Lincoln’s foam parties include upbeat, danceable music that keeps the party moving as children let loose with squeals and giggles.
