The agenda for today's Park Hosptial District executive session board meeting was posted last night after 5 p.m. It does not indicate that there will be a swearing in of the new board members.

It is highly unusual to invite guests to an executive session meetng but newly elected Park Hospital District board members were invited to sit in on an executive session this evening.

At the April 30 board meeting, Board President David Batey said the newly eleted board members would be sworn in on May 28.

The new board members were invited to attend tonight’s meeting which Treasurer Stephen Alper told the Estes Valley Voice was noticed on Tuesday. A bare quorum of only Alper, Secretary Brigitte Foust, and Member at Large Cory Workman were in attendance.

The agenda for the meeting included four minutes alloted for perfunctory actions of calling the meeting to order and public comments, and 85 minutes were reserved for another executive session meeting related to negotiations, strategies for negotiations, and discussing a personnel matter. Executive session meetings are closed to the public.

The public was able to hear the first fifteen minutes of the meeting, including opening remarks and comments, before the board moved into the executive session. Community members who were interested in listening in needed to dial 970-822-7850, provide their name, and entering the phone conference ID: 384 370 592# when prompted.

This was the fifth executive session the board has conducted in May. Over the past two and a half years, the Park Hospital District has conducted over 250 executive session meetings. Another executive session meeting is scheduled for tomorrow morning at 10 a.m.
