Candidates for the Estes Park Recreation and Park District Board of Directors and the Estes Valley Fire Protection District Board of Directors will face the public during a live forum from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 6, in the Town Hall Board Room. The forum is sponsored by the Estes Valley Voice.

Dan Derman, Aaron Dorman, and Derek Vinge have been invited to discuss their candidacies for EVRPD.

Chris Bussar, Scott Dorman, Steve Ferente, Robert Foster, Ryan Leahy, Joshua Leeds, Jeff Robbins, John “Hippy” Smith, Sandra Smith, and Mark Stelter have been invited to discuss their views on fire district issues.

All will be given the opportunity to provide brief introductions of their backgrounds and answer questions pertaining to their candidacy.

In addition, candidates will also be asked to answer questions submitted by readers that will be printed in an election edition of the Estes Valley Voice. To submit a question, please email news@estesvalleyvoice.com by Thursday, April 3.

The League of Women Voters of Estes Park will host a forum for candidates seeking a position on the Park Hospital District Board of Directors scheduled for Monday, April 7 from 5:30 to 7 p.m., also in the Town Board room.

Questions for candidates in the Park Hospital District election are being collected through Tuesday, March 25 through email submissions to voterservice@lwv-estespark.org. Questions received will be reviewed for relevancy and asked during the forum.

The candidates for hospital district positions are Tim Cashman, Tom Leigh, Max Salfinger, Ralph Strickland, and Janet Zeschin.
