Boulder makes final three list for Sundance Festival

Boulder has been named one of the final three cities being considered to host the Sundance Film Festival beginning in 2027. Also still in consideration is Cincinnati and the combined Salt Lake City and Park City, Utah. The Stanley Film Center is now under the umbrella of Visit Boulder, with support from the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade (OEDIT), the Colorado Office of Film Television and Media (COFTM), and a regional coalition of partners, including the City of Boulder, the Boulder Chamber, the University of Colorado Boulder and the Stanley Film Center.

Hazardous household waste collection this Saturday

Have waste products that cannot be collected through normal trash pickups? Saturday’s the day to dispose of things like household liquids and chemical wastes, paints, flammables, household cleaners, aerosols and batteries at no charge. Just bring your no-longer-wanted or needed hazardous goods to the Estes Park Events Complex parking lot between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. for disposal. The Town of Estes Park and Larimer County’s Household Waste Program are sponsors of the program.


2025 One Book One Valley

Help select the Estes Valley Library’s 2025 One Book One Valley book. Brief summaries of the three choices can be viewed here. Cast your vote by Monday, Sept. 16 to help choose the winner. The library will reveal the winning book later this fall. One Book One Valley takes place in January.

Crossroads Ministries to host annual Vintage fundraiser

Crossroads Ministries will host the 10th annual Vintage fundraiser at the Embers Restaurant at the Estes Park Resort Oct. 27 at 4 p.m. at the Embers restaurant in the Estes Park Resort. The event begins with a silent auction, appetizers, and a variety of fine wines and other drinks. At 5:15, stories will be shared of the impact that Crossroads is making in the lives of neighbors across the Estes Valley followed by a Live Auction. A description of auction items will be available in advance of the event. Seating is limited and RSVPs are needed by Oct. 9. This event raises funds for a major part of the Crossroads budget. Tickets are available at www.CrossroadsEP.org
